გაუტანელი გული თუ მაქვს,  ზრახვა მზაკვრული, 
არ ვიქნებოდი სამშობლოდან  გადაკარგული,
არ მომიწყობდა ბედისწერა სასტიკ გამოცდას,
დავთანხმდებოდი თუ ლაჩრულად რჯულის გამოცვლას.

სიკეთეს ავი თუ ვერ ჯაბნის, გწყალობს უფალი,
მონამ შევცოდე, შენ წმინდა ხარ, თავისუფალი!
თუკი დევნილი დასჯილია ზეცის კრულებით,
მაგ რწმენით ცხონდი, ჩემი რჯულით აღვესრულები.

რაც მე წამერთვა, ვერ მომცემდი იმის ნახევარს,
გაგანებივრებს ღმერთი, მე კი დამსჯის ნაწყევარს,
შენს ხელში ჩემი სიცოცხლეა, მიწა მცირედი,
მის გამო ჩაგრულს, მას მივანდე გულიც, იმედიც.
